It’s been a couple weeks since we started rehearsal with all musicians and casts and we’ve done the first week of show for the theater Deadly she wolf assassin at armageddon concept and music by Fred Ho. We premiered in 2005 in NYC, this time we perform at Lamama Theater, NYC for three weeks. This work reminds me many memories. Great to performing with members and new members. Great work. シアターDeadly she wolf assassin at armageddonの全体リハーサル、そしてショーの第一週目が終わりました。この作品は2005年にNYで初演しましたものです。今回はNYのラママシアターで３週間の上演です。リハーサル以来、いろいろな思い出が駆け巡ります。元のメンバー、新しいメンバーとの再会、共演ができて嬉しいのと、素晴らしい作品に仕上がっています。写真はバンドメンバーと、この作品のコンセプトと作曲をしたフレッドです。
We’ve been rehearsing Deadly She Wolf, theater production. I believe this production premiered 7, 8 years ago in NYC. Great to see those casts, musicians again and welcomed new casts. Since we started rehearsals for this show I’ve been thinking many memories. Time goes by so fast I experienced many in past 7, 8 years.
只今、舞台Deadly She Wolfのリハーサルが連日行われています。確か、初演はNYで７、８年前でした。今回の再演で、懐かしいキャスト、ミュージシャンたちに再会、そして新しいメンバーも加わっています。このプロダクションのリハーサルが始まって以来、とてもいろいろな思い出が頭を過ります。時が経つのは早いものですが、過去７、８年にもいろいろなことがあったな。そんなことを思いながら、少し歩きました。NYはまだ寒かったりします。
Visited & performed in International Day at WCLA, NYC yesterday. All children are wonderful! I loved their singing, poem etc. Purity is one of the most beautiful element. It had been kind of long time to visit any school, I had a great time.
昨日、マンハッタンにあるWCLＡのインターナショナルデイのイベントで、演奏をしてきました。子供たちの無邪気さと、素晴らしい歌や詩に感動。純粋であることって、やはりいいですね。学校でのパフォーマンスは久しぶりでしたが、良いひとときでした。
I hadn’t been in NYC past few months, finally I settled. Glad simple ordinary but happy things!

過去数ヶ月、ツアー続きでNYにはほとんどいませんでしたが、やっと戻ったという今日この頃。シンプルな普通のこと、それらがとても嬉しく思えるのです。ラップトップと共にカフェに座って作業したり、友人宅へ行ったり、手料理などなど。
Stayed 1 day in NYC (came back from Houston) today just got in St Louis for Bella Gaia show. I’ve been here since last Oct when I did Koto Concerto Genji. Nice to seeing St Louis again!
ヒューストンからNYに一日戻った後、今日セントルイスにベラガイアのショーのため到着しました。セントルイスに来るのは、去年１０月に箏コンチェルト源氏のために来て以来、以外とすぐに戻ってきた感じです。ハローセントルイス！
Just came back from Houston today. Stayed there for 2 weeks for Opera The memory stone at Houston grand Opera, it was an amazing experience and a great team. Thank you all.

Tomorrow Bella Gaia show in NYC then take 5 in the morning flight to Houston next morning. Doing Laundry, packing, cleaning up my room and practice. For some reason I remembered suddenly when I saw Mt. Fuji this month. I was sleeping on Bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo suddenly woke up and The Fuji was just in front of me, awesome! So couldn’t have a chance to take photo of it I upload a photo from yesterday NYC.
明日はベラガイアのショーがNYで、次の朝５時のフライトでヒューストンへ。というわけで、只今洗濯、荷造り、掃除、そして練習。どういうわけか、突然先日新幹線で京都から東京へ向かっているときに、すっかり寝ていたけど、はっと目覚め、すると目の前に富士山がどーんと見えた、ときのことを思い出しました。すごかったなあ、偉大でした。シャッターチャンスはなかったので、その代わりに、昨日のNYの写真を。
It’s been a while to update this blog. Came back in NYC yesterday and had a performance at Grand Central today. I had a wonderful wonderful time in Japan and successful tour. After tour I donated $3000 to Morioka city to support people who moved from ocean side cause Tsunami and have been in difficult situation. Thank you for all who came to my shows and supported me. I will upload more photos soon!
昨日NYに戻り、今日はグランドセントラルで演奏してきました。今回の日本ツアーはお蔭さまで大成功、そして素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。ツアー終了後、盛岡市長に今回のツアーの収益金のうち、30万円を寄付させて頂きました。盛岡に移住されている被災者の多くが生活困窮ということで、こちらに直接お渡し頂くことにしました。ご来場くださった皆様、そしてサポートしてくださった皆様に心から感謝です。このツアーの写真は後日アップします。
Just done a concert at the Yale University last night with Ben Verdery on Guitar. It was fun to be there and beautiful concert hall. Now I’m packing again for Texas tour, hoping I can sleep a little tonight. I will head to Japan right after come back from Texas. Make a wish!
昨夜は、エール大学でギターのベンとコンサート。楽しいひととき、そしてとても素敵なコンサートホールでした。今は、明日からのテキサスツアーの荷物パッキングなどなど。少しでも今夜寝たいです。テキサスから戻ったら本当にすぐさま日本へ向うフライト。全てうまく行きますように。
